The average journey time from Australia to Manila is approximately 11 hours, we always fly with Singapore Airlines as i like there friendly nice service and there my favourite trusted carrier with newer planes on hand, but i have used them many occasions to fly to Europe, this is my preference, trouble is I’ve watched too many airline disasters on discovery channel a bad thing to do hehe wont be watching them again i avoid them, and looked at the world airlines safety who’s on there and who hasn’t been certified! And Singapore is one of the top carriers. Every1 for them selves and we all have different ideas, anyway back to the article I’m writing, it takes us 9 hours to fly to Singapore and another 3 hours to manila, usually there is a delay of 3 hours in Singapore, personally i don’t mind this as i see it as a sight seeing of the airport.
Prices vary dramatically between airlines and the time of month you’d like to the visit the Philippines, best to shop around once you’ve made a decision on travel time, the web is full of information to find out, as myself that’s my number one place it saves a lot of calls and visiting travel agency’s, some agency’s might even be located far away and they have the best pricing. I have always used flight centre as they’ve always competed with other agency’s, being a regular customer has its bonuses, but I always do my home work armed with information on everything I want.

Although you might be tempted go for the cheapest flight, it may result in you having a stopover of 6 hours , or even a lot longer , which will mean you either getting a room overnight or sleeping at the airport, this adds significantly to the arduous journey. The result will be that it might take you a few more days just to recover from your flight . I personally prefer to pay an extra $100 AUS, or so , and have a better travelling experience. Always the choice is yours. All I suggest is that you check it all out first before you buy.
